Altar Servers

Responsibilities:

Altar Servers have a solemn responsibility to do their assigned duties with dignity and reverence.

Altar servers are scheduled to serve once a week, and must be available to serve at Special Masses, Quinceañeras and Weddings as necessary.

Servers must arrive 20 minutes before Mass begins and sign in.

Altar Servers must also attend scheduled monthly meetings.

Purpose:

The Altar Servers assist the priests and deacons at liturgy and participate in prayer and worship. This ministry provides the opportunity for the youth of our parish to participate in the sacramental celebrations of the church.

Requirements:

Altar Servers must have received the sacrament of First Holy Communion, and be in the third grade or above. Altar Servers must know and say the appropriate responses throughout the Mass.
